Time: 10:00 am - 11:30 am Location: Audrey McCall Beach Join the HAP Beach Brigade series at Audrey McCall Beach! We will be removing rip rap, collecting trash, and building trails Saturdays in August. The HAP Beach Beach Brigade is dedicated to transforming underutilized river banks into beloved neighborhood hangouts. Other examples of our work include Cathedral Park, Tom McCall Bowl, and Poet's Beach. Advanced Registration: is not required but highly encouraged. You can register for this event on the SOLVE website here. Meeting Location: is in front of Fire Station 21 on 5 SE Madison at 10:00 AM. From there we will do a short walk to the beach cleanup location. What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts. What's Provided: bags, trash grabbers, gloves, and rakes Restrooms: No public restrooms are available Parking: There is free parking adjacent to Firestation 21 and along SE Water Ave Transit: Several bus lines stop near Firestation 21 including the 6--Martin Luther King Jr; 14--Hawthorne/Foster; and 15--Belmont/NW 23rd. If you will be arriving on bike you can access the location via the Eastbank Esplanade. Accessibility: This area may not be accessible to folks with mobility concerns. |
