How can you have lived in Portland and not swum across the Willamette River? It is the Portland right of passage. It's only a 1/4 wide, a simple 15 minute swim for intermediate swimmers.

But this is not a race, its a one way fun swim across the Willamette River and a chance to swim with our new Mayor - its a historic occasion, you can say you swam with our new Mayor across our river. It's the next step of the Portland Riverlution in creating better access to the Willamette River and transforming Portland's relationship with our river. Show up and be counted!

We also need volunteer safety boaters - we can't have too many kayak-ers, SUP-er's and Canoe-ers to keep an eye on our swimmers - wanna volunteer to be a River Steward? Contact Melony at mlbeaird@gmail.com for more info.
